In fact, it's an ideal holiday location. In the south, the department of Morbihan has a more favourable climate than the rest of Britanny, with warm summers and mild winters. This is where you will find Maison Penfra, in the tiny hamlet of Lieu Dit Penfra. You are five minutes' walk away from the village of Saint-Malo-des-Trois-Fontaines where there is a bread shop and two bars with excellent eating areas. There is also a fine 12th-century church and an old mill wheel by the river where the three fountains can be found. The two market towns of Josselin and Ploermel are only a quarter of an hour’s drive away and a large natural lake (Lac au Duc), surrounded by beautiful parkland and with a beach, is just 10 minutes by car.
